Science Week 14th-18th November
It’s Science Week in St. Mary’s S.N.S. and the children have been really busy carrying out experiments and working on lots of fantastic science related activities. On Monday 14th some of the classes were really lucky to take part in science workshops, in Blessington library. The children explored 3D printing and how this can be used to make lots of things like houses, characters etc. They printed a character from the game “Among us”. The classes looked at lasers and how these can be used to cut stone or put plastic onto pieces of wood. The children really enjoyed their workshops, and they certainly inspired the next generation of scientists. On Wednesday 16th, all year groups assembled in the atrium area, throughout the day and children from each class presented their experiments to their peers. Thanks to Ms. Nugent for organising all the activities and workshops throughout the week.
